This morning Tim Cahill elevated himself to legendary status with a fifth World Cup goal against the Dutch (it was a sizzler, and contender for goal of the tournament)... he has more WC goals than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi — arguably the two greatest current day players.
Despite Cahill’s heroics and a penalty goal from skipper Mile Jedinak, Australia still lost 3-2 to Netherlands.
Unfortunately a second yellow card means Cahill will be suspended for the Socceroos final group match against defending champions Spain on Tuesday, who like Australia have also been eliminated from the tournament. But to celebrate Cahill’s legacy, here are his five World Cup goals in all their glory.
