The legendary Caroline O’Connor will perform in a star-studded showcase of musical theatre hits, ‘Encore! Songs From The Musicals’, in Melbourne.
’Encore! Songs From The Musicals’ will be three Melbourne-only concerts, featuring show-stopping hits sung by Caroline and an outstanding cast of Australian star performers and backed by Orchestra Victoria.
Caroline has thrilled audiences throughout her illustrious career, originating roles on Broadway, the West End, and more. She’s one of the most respected, admired and sought-after triple threats in show business.
At ‘Encore!’, audiences can look forward to revisiting iconic musical moments from Opera Australia’s impressive catalogue of musical theatre productions including ‘The Phantom Of The Opera’, ‘My Fair Lady’, South Pacific’, ‘West Side Story’ ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Evita’, ‘Sunset Boulevard’, ‘A Little Night Music’, ‘Guys & Dolls’ and more.
Joining Caroline will be some of Opera Australia’s most acclaimed musical theatre performers, including Abigail Adriano (‘Miss Saigon’, ‘Hadestown’) and Ashleigh Rubenach (‘Sunset Boulevard). . . Plus, the award-winning Nigel Huckle (‘Miss Saigon’, ‘West Side Story’), Jarrod Draper, and Raphael Wong.
’Encore! Songs From The Musicals’ will be directed by Mark Sutcliffe and conducted by Vanessa Scammell. It’s a night celebrating 70 years of great storytelling and music, featuring hit after hit from ever-popular, world-renowned musicals.
