This year's Brisbane Pride Festival kicks off on 1st September and will run for the entire month.
The festival will include social, cultural and sporting activities, as well as the usual premiere events like the Gala Opening Party, the Pink Pub Prowl, and the rally and march from Brunswick Street followed by Pride Fair Day.
The festival launches this Friday night with the glam Official Opening Gala Launch Party at Cloudland, and the following night the Queensland Aids Council is throwing 'The Playbox Fundraiser' to celebrate its 30th birthday. Feauturing DJs Arsee, Lee Smith and Fradge, along with a specacular display of laser and loud-noises, the fundraiser invites everyone to have a good time while contributing to a great cause.
The transformed Wickham with a gaming arcade and newly refurbished nightclub will be a like a playground kids at heart.
QuAC's Playbox Fundraiser party will be at the Wickham Saturday August 30.
Last year's Brisbane Pride Festival Fair Day was officially granted Brisbane City Council Funding for the first time in it's history.
