Decided to host a New Year’s party this year?
Great idea! But where to begin? Here’s a checklist of to-dos from Brisbane DJ Nick One, so all you have to worry about on the night is ensuring maximum fun for all.
1. Finalise your guest list. No crabs.
2. Check your kitchen supplies. You are gonna need endless plastic cups and unlimited ice.
3. Decide on a theme. Something tropical can be fun.
4. Set your budget. Check Mum's credit limit.
5. Send out your invitations. You can do this via text message or email.
6. Consider guests who’ll want to stay over. Chicks only!
7. Guest contributions. Ask your friends to bring ciggies.
8. Food and drinks. Lime. Vodka. Soda.
9. Include non-perishables in your Christmas food shop. Not sure what this means.
10. Plan the entertainment:
11. Organise the house. Clean up any broken glass etc.
12. The day before. Have a bath.
Catch DJ Nick One this New Year’s Eve at 7pm at The Big Chill at The Motor Room (with the HTO Twerk Team); from 9pm till 2am at Rumpus Room (with Hostile Takeover and The HTO Twerk Team) and then from 3am till 5am at the Woolly Mammoth.
