Sirens Of Brisbane is a new night dedicated to showcasing and celebrating Brisbane's emerging female artists or female-fronted bands. It's time for the gals to shine.
There is an abundance of female musicians in Brisbane doing incredible things who deserve to be celebrated and supported.Come and enjoy the musical goodness when the very first Sirens Of Brisbane welcomes Evangie, Oh Bailey and Tiarne to the stage at The Bearded Lady this Saturday (5 December).
With her debut single 'Japan' released mid-October, Evangie channels the ferocity of female-fronted indie rockers like Jess Day and Paramore.
Joined by her four-piece band infused with searing guitar solos, underlying bass grooves and driving drum beats, Evangie is ready to make her mark on the local indie-rock scene.
"I have always had a love for fashion and love experimenting with different styles and pieces," Evangie says.
"Aside from music, thrift shopping and going to the beach are my two favourite things. So, here are my top 5 thrift finds."

I scored this leather jacket off of Marketplace from a lady who had packed it away from when she was a teen; she thinks she got it in the '80s and wore it all the time, but it hadn't seen the light of day since then.It was in perfect condition and was so cheap too, but going into summer, I don't think I'll be getting much wear out of it for the next few months.

I bought this belt years ago from a local thrift shop; it's a kids belt but I still think it's one of the greatest things I've ever found.I actually lost this belt for a really long time and asked just about everyone I knew if they had seen it because I was so devastated it was gone.

I recently bought these jeans and they are incredible. They fit like a glove and have the perfect flared leg, as well as being super comfortable. I was stoked with this find.

I also found this dress recently and thought it would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe for stage outfits and photoshoots.This dress gives me major '90s vibes! This piece is really different, but I think the fit is super flattering and fun.

Lastly is this dragon top. This piece is so unique and I have never seen anything like it.It is so incredibly comfortable, but is definitely seeing signs of wear so I might need to get out my needle and thread and do some mending.
