In a rare win for Adelaide and Perth heavy music lovers, Tool will perform headline concerts in both cities late 2025.
Already headed to Australia to co-headline Good Things Festival (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane), the Grammy Award-winning juggernaut that is Tool – Danny Carey (drums), Justin Chancellor (bass), Adam Jones (guitar) and Maynard James Keenan (vocals) – will showcase boundary-pushing visuals, unparalleled live production and mind-bending musicianship.
The alternative, progressive metal, art rock behemoths last toured Australia just before the world shutdown in 2020.
Formed in 1990, Tool are one of the most groundbreaking, muscular heavy bands of modern times. Across five studio albums – 'Undertow' (1993), 'Ænima' (1996), 'Lateralus' (2001), '10,000 Days' (2006), and 'Fear Inoculum' (2019) – Tool have redefined the possibilities of rock through complex, hypnotic compositions and unmatched live production.
Talk of a sixth Tool album has been circulated for a number of years, with Carey first mentioning the group was working on new material in 2022. Although nothing official has been confirmed from the band.
With tickets to the the band's two Auckland shows flying out the door, Aussie fans should not delay. . . these shows will be hot!
Fresh from touring with Wunderhorse and recently showcasing at BIGSOUND, Byron Bay rock band HEADSEND, whose debut single 'Stove' dropped last month, will open both concerts.
"Over the moon to announce we're joining Tool as support for their shows in Adelaide and Perth this November and December. We're also playing both shows in Auckland NZ."
Tickets on sale from 1pm (local time) on 7 October.
