Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

Heavy fans this is a total bucket-list moment with American icons Tool to headline the 2025 instalment of Good Things Festival.

The alternative, progressive metal, art rock behemoths (who last toured Australia just before the world shutdown in 2020) will be joined by another massive brand in alternative rock, power pop with the ageless Weezer confirmed Good Things starters.

The nostalgia-soaked vibes continue as you peruse the 2025 line-up with such names as Garbage (their first Australian visit in a decade, who released their eight studio album 'Let All That We Imagine Be the Light' in May), All Time Low (who recently released the singles 'Suckerpunch' and 'The Weather'), Machine Head (whose 11th studio album 'Unatoned' dropped in April) and The All-American Rejects (who have released new music with 'Sandbox' and 'Easy Come, Easy Go' singles).

They join the likes of hardcore punks Knocked Loose and Refused, deathcore band Lorna Shore, pop-punk group New Found Glory, ska-punks Goldfinger, post-hardcore outfit Dayseeker, metalcore rockers Kublai Khan TX, and dance-rock group Cobra Starship.

Australian additions include metalcore outfit Make Them Suffer and pop-punk emo rockers Tonight Alive, with this year's legacy act confirmed as iconic singer-songwriter James Reyne ('Reckless').

"Can't believe we get to return to Australia after ten long years! Thrilled to be playing the Good Things Festival the first week of December. Can't wait to see you all again," declares Garbage.
