It's barely even Christmas and the good folk at Dashville have already dropped an early gift in the form of the second line-up for The Gum Ball in 2019.
The second round of The Gum Ball artists features Perth powerhouse Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, one of Australia's most-revered acts Augie March, Melbourne-based space enthusiasts BATTS and the '60s country swing of Magpie Diaries, the band of Dashville founder Matt 'Magpie' Johnston.
With two monstrous odysseys under their belt, 'High Visceral Pt. 1' and 'High Visceral Pt. 2,' Psychedelic Porn Crumpets create scintillating progressive rock that shifts from Biblical-sized riffs to dreamy soundscapes in the blink of an eye.
Augie March returned to the spotlight this year with new record 'Bootikins' and their first in four years, reminding us of their penchant for wrenching melodies and lyrical beauty. The brainchild of singer-songwriter Glenn Richards, Augie March will finally make their Dashville debut in 2019.
A blend of dream pop, folk and rock, BATTS is the moniker by which Tanya Batts delivers mesmerising and melancholic music akin to such musical influences as Sigur Ros, Bon Iver and Stevie Nicks.
Other newcomers to the fray include Newcastle garage pop rockers Dave, California/Byron coast band Allensworth led by Jamie Allensworth and finally the eight-piece family ensemble Then Jolene from the sunny NSW township of Woolgoola.

They all join first-rounders such as Tex Perkins & The Fat Rubber Band, Sampa The Great, Magic Dirt, Mojo Juju, Philadelphia Grand Jury and heaps more, with further artist announcements still to come for the 14th annual Gum Ball.
The Gum Ball Music & Arts Festival is on at Dashville (Hunter Valley) 25-28 April 2019.
