Two years removed from their last visit, Suicidal Tendencies return to Australia this spring.
Set to already be in the country to open for Metallica, the thrash metal, hardcore punk icons will headline their own concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Frankston, Brisbane and Sydney this October-November.The band also have a series of firsts including their first new single in seven years with the April release of 'Adrenaline Addict' featuring Australian vocalist Nisha Star (who joined ST on their recent American dates). It'll also be the first Australian ST shows to feature Jay Weinberg on drums, and the band's first show in Perth since 2018.
Joining Weinberg in the 2025 line-up of Suicidal Tendencies is founding member, vocalist Mike Muir alongside guitarists Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan) and Dean Pleasants, and bassist Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica's Robert Trujillo).
"Huge thanks to Metallica, band, crew, management and family," posted Mike. "These US (and Toronto) shows have been an amazing, unbelievable and unforgettable experience!
"Getting up on that stage was absolutely surreal. Huge thanks to everyone that came out and got there (or tried to) early and all the support! Was an absolute blast!
"That said, the Australian ones coming up are definitely a dream come true! Can't wait to get back to CycoSTralia'. ST was just there for a sold out tour in 2023, and Infectious Grooves came back in 2024. Spread the word and let's have another cyco tour!"
Joining the tour as main support act will be hip hop artist Briggs' new heavy side project Big Noter. Now trading hip hop beats for guitar riffs, Big Noter is a sonic return to the heavy sounds he grew up on, tapping into his hardcore, punk and metal roots with a full live band in tow.
Working with famed engineer-producer Nick Didia (Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen), Big Noter is set to drop their debut album in 2025.
Tickets on sale from 10am (local time) on 17 July.
