Metallica With Evanescence & Suicidal Tendencies Australia 2025 Tour

Heavy metal godfathers, Metallica are bringing their M72 world tour down under in 2025, with a five-date run of stadium concerts next spring.

The riffage lords with such iconic classics like 'Enter Sandman', 'Nothing Else Matters', and 'Master Of Puppets' will be joined by alternative gothic metallers Evanescence and thrash-funk-punk pioneers Suicidal Tendencies.

"We've locked down our return with stadium shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland next November," declares Metallica.

The M72 world tour sees the quartet of James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo performing at the end of each stadium and will also include the infamous Snake Pit extending from the front of the stage that places fans inside the show, literally!

Metallica's visit follows the 2023 release of their 11th studio album, '72 Seasons', which received three Grammy Awards nominations, winning Best Metal Performance for the title track.

'72 Seasons' also features such cuts as 'Lux Æterna', 'Screaming Suicide', 'Shadows Follow', 'Sleepwalk My Life Away' and 'You Must Burn!'. '72 Seasons' is also notable for featuring Metallica's longest original song, 'Inamorata' that runs for over 11 minutes.

"AUSTRALIA! We'll be back sooner than you think. . . So unbelievably honoured that Metallica asked us and Suicidal Tendencies to join them for their Australian tour in Nov 2025," declares Evanescence, who only toured Australia the winter of 2023 celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album 'Fallen'. Evanescence have released five studio albums, their most recent being 2021's 'The Bitter Truth' (the first release of all new music since their 2011 self-titled record).

With frontman Mike Muir a permanent resident of Queensland, Suicidal Tendencies were also recently in Australia, celebrating the 40th anniversary of their self-titled debut album playing shows last November.

While Mike's other band, who he shares with Metallica's Robert Trujillo, Infectious Grooves toured in April, with both hinting at return shows for both of their other bands at the Adelaide show.

Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 4 November.
