RNB Fridays Live 2018 Australia Tour

Usher headlines RNB Fridays Live 2018 Australian tour.
National Music Editor, based in Brisbane, Australia.
'Passionate about true crime docos, the Swannies, golf and sleep, I’ve been writing about music for 20-plus years. What I’ve learnt? There’s two types of music – good and bad.’

If smooth R&B grooves and urban hip hop beats are your jam, then we don't need to tell you that RNB Fridays Live is the party of the year.

After last year hosting Craig David, Ne-Yo, Sean Paul, Kelis and Kelly Rowland among a swag of urban stars, RNB Fridays Live have put a ring on the 2018 tour announcing 'Mr. Entertainment' Usher as headliner.

The Big Ush will parade his countless hits for the first time in Australia since 2011's 'OMG' national tour serenading the audience with the likes of 'Love In This Club', 'U Got It Bad', 'Burn' and, of course, 'OMG'.

Set to join Big Tyme on the national tour that will travel to Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney (for one night only in each city) in November, will be crunk legend Lil Jon who's still producing global bangers; his joint with DJ Snake 'Turn Down For What' is one the biggest tracks of the past five years.

With tour promoters (Illusive Presents, Frontier Touring and Hit Network) promising 'A-class lighting effects, mammoth sound, tremendous LED video screens and enough pyro that you'd better pack sunscreen' the RNB Fridays Live stage will also welcome 'Low' legend Flo Rida, rap pioneers and 1995 Grammy winners Salt-N-Pepa, 'Mr. Steal Your Girl' Trey Songz appearing down under for the first time in more than a decade and 'The Talk' co-host and certified rapper, Philly's own Eve (Go Eagles!).

T-Pain will 'Buy U A Drank' before Naughty By Nature have the audience singing 'Hip Hop Hooray' as the OG bachelor Ginuwine turns dreams into reality before Estelle says 'Thank You'.

No RNB Fridays Live would be complete without ultimate hype man and RNB Fridays Live alumni Fatman Scoop ('Be Faithful') will be hosting all five shows.

There are also venue upgrades from previous years with Melbourne moving into Marvel Stadium, Sydney relocates to Spotless Stadium and Adelaide unloads at the famous Wayville Showground site; Brisbane and Perth remain at their existing outdoor venues.
