With an alternative-grungy wash throughout, Nikki Wishart's fourth single of 2022, 'Spell It Out To U', flips the bird at narcissist personalities with sassy lyrics and a fierce attitude.
Co-written by Noah Vernon and produced by SB90, 'Spell It Out To U' writhes and bops along with a dark pop, indie college radio vibe, the melody infusing a mood of empowerment.There's even the slightest echo of Billy Joel's 'We Didn't Start The Fire' a number of times as well, which gets two thumbs up.
"This song was a super fun one to create; I was able to step out of my previous songs and into one filled with sass," Nikki shares.
"My co-writer and I were really inspired by the likes of Gayle and UPSAHL at the time, which reflects in the song itself."

Inspired by fellow singer-songwriters including Holly Humberstone and Chelsea Cutler, and focused on portraying themes of passion and heartbreak with captivating, personal and mediative lyrics, Nikki's music is infused with a genuine energy that will endear her to fans of emotive-fuelled music.
