After an 11-year absence, The Highway Queen Nikki Lane returns to Australia.
Already slated to perform festival sets at Wanderer (South Coast), Dashville Skyline (Hunter Valley) and Out On The Weekend (Melbourne), the 'Send The Sun' and 'Right Time' hitmaker will headline concerts in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane and Northern Rivers this October.Also featuring on Lana Del Rey's 2021 album 'Chemtrails Over The Country Club' ('Breaking Up Slowly'), Nikki's most recent single is 'Woodruff City Limit'.
"Perhaps a songwriter's greatest talent is being able to surmise a hefty, sometimes heavy experience into just a few minutes of melody and story telling," Nikki says.
With a mix of grit, glamour and honky-tonk soul, alt country lovers can expect songs from Lane's most recent album, 2022's 'Denim & Diamonds', the new track 'Woodruff City Limit' (of course), fan favourites, and a live show that's as wild and heartfelt as the powerful stories she sings.
Joining Nikki will be Texan troubadour Vincent Neil Emerson (except Northern Rivers gig and Wanderer Festival), who makes his long-awaited Australian debut.
With raw lyricism and a timeless twang (as heard in his hits 'Road Runner', '25 & Wastin' Time' and 'Willie Nelson's Wall'), Vincent brings the rich storytelling tradition of the American South to Australia this October.
