Wanderer Festival 2025 Line-up

L-R top to bottom: Missy Higgins, Saint Motel, Jacob Banks
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and some beyond.

NSW South Coast's biennial Wanderer Festival is proving the music festival as we know it is not dead, with a 2025 line-up to leave even the hardest to please fan frothing in anticipation.

Situated in the beautiful, idyllic surrounds of Pambula Beach in NSW's Sapphire Coast, a short walk from the enticing ocean and a host of other natural attractions, Wanderer Festival is a two-day event taking place 4-5 October.

The music line-up is impossible to fault with a seamless mix of indie acts spread across the full spectrum of pop, rock, folk, psychedelic, electronic, funk, hip hop and punk.

The Saturday bill is headed by singer-songwriter Missy Higgins ('Scar', 'The Special Two'), loveable surf rock duo Hockey Dad ('Seaweed', 'Join The Club') and alternative stalwarts Magic Dirt ('Dirty Jeans', 'Plastic Loveless Letter'.

The international arrivals also boast an eclectic grouping of talent led by American dream pop indie rockers Saint Motel ('My Type', 'Cold Cold Man', 'Sweet Talk'), Dutch EDM-chill house DJ-producer Lavern ('Hold Me', 'Sunshine', 'In My Mind') and the dreamy pop, neo-psychedelia of O And The Mo from across the ditch ('Make Way For The Sun', 'Icarus', 'The High').

After a packed day of dancing, revellers will return on Sunday to be serenaded by the likes of iconic Aussie rockers The Living End ('Prisoner Of Society', 'White Noise') and indie folk royalty Boy & Bear ('Southern Sun', 'Old Time Blues'), while electronic OGs Cut Copy will deliver a DJ set.

Sunday will also offer a number of music imports including R&B, soul English artist Jacob Banks ('Chainsmoking', 'Unknown (To You)', 'Unholy War'), French producer-DJ Petit Biscuit ('Sunset Lover', 'Alone', 'You', 'Night Trouble') and honky tonk, vintage Nashville country artist Nikki Lane ('Breaking Up Slowly', 'Send The Sun' and 'Right Time').

Irish-American folk traditionalist music DUG ('Jubilee) and Canadian indie rock band Sylvie ('Falls On Me') round out the overseas contingent.

If you're still not satisfied by this sumptuous serving of musical delights, the remainder of the bill is blooming with emerging and next-gen talent. Think Pierce Brothers, Grace Cummings, Folk Bitch Trio, Henry Wagons, Jack Botts, The Tullamarines and Dust on Saturday. While Sunday's offerings also includes The Vanns, Emma Donovan, The Bures Band, Lotte Gallagher and Radium Dolls.

Still not sold?! A genuine festival of culture, Wanderer is a world-class production whose art programme is vast and diverse (scroll down for the complete list). As always, the cuisine will be heavenly.

There's also a hundred reasons to jump on booking your tickets earlier. Like all good presales, event tickets will be cheaper and will sell out, but for the first time ever, there will be 100 VIP upgrades up for grabs.

Every transaction containing event tickets will go into the draw to win a VIP upgrade for each event ticket included in the order. Wanderer Festival does not sell VIP tickets – this is your hot chance to mosey on in to the exclusive VIP area in the heart of the festival next to the main stage. Order a drink, pull up a chair and settle in for a little star gazing between sets.

Tickets are on sale.

Wanderer Festival takes place at Pambula Beach (South Coast) 4-5 October.
