Pharrell Williams — who just gets more and more ubiquitous, long after we thought we'd reached Peak Pharrell — has announced a new venue for his Brisbane show.
Pharrell's Future Music sideshow was set to take place at The Marquee (RNA Showgrounds) next Wednesday March 12; it's now been moved to the larger Riverstage venue due to "unprecedented demand". Tickets for the original venue will be accepted, of course, while extra tickets for the new venue are on sale now.
Last week, Pharrell dropped 'G I R L' — his first solo album in eight years, featuring guests like Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys and Daft Punk. He also performed at the Academy Awards. A couple of weeks before that, he stole the show at the NBA's All-Star Weekend with a career-spanning set.
Pharrell will be joined in Brisbane by 'Harlem Shake' auteur Baauer and Triple J presenter Nina Las Vegas.
Pharrell will also play a sideshow at Perth's Challenge Stadium on Friday March 14, as well as the remaining Future Music Festival dates at Sydney's Royal Randwick Racecourse (Saturday March 8), Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse (Sunday March 9) and Adelaide Showgrounds (Monday March 10).
