Morgan Evans

As he nears the release of his new album 'Steel Town' next month, US-based Aussie country-rock artist Morgan Evans returns home this autumn.

The 'Kiss Somebody' and 'Day Drunk' hitmaker will headline concerts in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane this May.

A Nashville resident these days, these will be Evans' first Australian headline dates since 2024.

"The Steel Town tour will be the biggest tour I've ever done," Morgan says. "The biggest show, the biggest band and a record that was created to be shared live! I can't f...ing wait!"

Released today, 'Steel Town' is the title track from Morgan's forthcoming album, out 20 March (pre-order it).

A cinematic love letter to his Newcastle roots, 'Steel Town' is peppered with quick hitting autobiographical detail and sung like a homecoming triumph.

"'Steel Town' is about where I come from and why I am the way I am. Newy was a beautiful place to grow up, but also a tough one, and we poured all of that into this record."

The record digs deep into themes of home, healing, and renewed hope across 11 tracks. Full of hope and resilience, it was made to sing-along with.

Read our review of Morgan's 2024 Gold Coast concert, which we described his performance as 'unparalleled energy and captivating melodies'.

Morgan recently released 'Two Broken Hearts', a duet with US singer-songwriter Laci Kaye Booth who'll join Evans as the main support act on the Australian tour.

A former contestant on 'American Idol' who placed in the Top 4, Laci has carved out her own country-rock niche with a string of hits including 'Luck Of The Draw', 'Damn Good In A Dive Bar' and 'Daddy's Mugshot'.

Tickets on sale from 2pm (local time) on 17 February.
