Missy Higgins, Peter Garrett, Tim Rogers & Kasey Chambers Highlight Riverboats Music Festival's Delectable 2024 Line-up

Missy Higgins joins Riverboats Music Festival's 2024 line-up.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Nestled in the picturesque surrounds of Echuca-Moama, Riverboats Music Festival's 2024 line-up is a mouth-watering serving featuring some of Australia's finest musical products.

Set to return to its home Aquatic Reserve (16-18 February) on the banks of the Murray River, after being forced to relocate due to flooding this year, the festival is staged on Yorta Yorta country in the leafy shade of a natural riverside amphitheatre under gorgeous river red gums.

Riverboats 2024 will welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Missy Higgins ('Scar', 'Where I Stood', 'Futon Couch'), and ageless rocker and activist Peter Garrett (bringing his band The Alter Egos to perform his solo material – including the just released single 'The True North' – as well as a few Oils numbers).

Then there's Aussie Queen of Country and ARIA Hall Of Fame member Kasey Chambers ('Not Pretty Enough', 'The Captain') plus Australia's favourite raconteur Tim Rogers who teams with his country-blues compadres The Twin Set – who earlier this year released their new album 'Tines Of Stars Unfurled', two-plus decades since their 1999 debut record 'What Rhymes With Cars And Girls'.

The energetic ball of ceaseless motion that is punk-dance-rap-rock experiment Regurgitator (who just supported KISS and Weezer) will also head to Echua-Moama as will 'The Real Thing' Mr Russell Morris, ARIA Award-winner blues-roots musician Mia Dyson ('When The Moment Comes'), and New Zealand's country-soul singer-songwriter Tami Neilson (three-time Best Country Album winner at New Zealand Music Awards).

Tamworth-raised country-roots artist Paddy McHugh and Afrobeat laced with hip hop ensemble The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra round out the main line-up, with Rockwiz's Brian Nankervis to MC proceedings.

The always popular and iconic paddlesteamer sideshows will also return in 2024. Aboard the historic PS Pevensey in partnership with Echuca Paddlesteamers, Riverboats will offer a series of intimate gigs from emerging local talent including Kee'ahn (2020 Archie Roach Award recipient and 2020 Best Emerging Artist winner at the Music Victoria Awards).

Minor Gold (the new Americana-folk duo featuring ARIA-nominated artists Tracy McNeil and Dan Parsons), Melbourne's funktastic JAZZPARTY and fellow Melburnians southern boogie band Sweet Talk will also perform paddlesteamer sets.

Tickets to the family-friendly event are on sale.
