Pionees of the '90s electronic and rave scenes, UK legends Leftfield return to Australia in 2026 as part of their 35th anniversary celebrations.
Originally formed by Neil Barnes and Paul Daley in 1989, Leftfield's contemporaries include The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim; after a near-decade hiatus during the '00s, Barnes revived the group minus Daley in 2010.
Leftfield's legendary live performances paired with seminal albums, 1995's 'Leftism' and 1999's 'Rhythm & Stealth' (both Mercury Music Prize nominees), solidified their position as true pioneers.
With an arsenal of hits including 'Phat Planet', 'Original', 'Release The Pressure', 'Open Up', 'A Final Hit', 'Dusted' and 'Melt', Barnes brings Leftfield back to Australia for the first time in eight years next March with concerts in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne (as part of Live At The Gardens).
"It will be 36 years since I released the first Leftfield track, 'Not Forgotten', and 31 years now of 'Leftism'," Neil says.
"It feels like the perfect time to celebrate and I'm so pleased that finally we get to come back to Australia. Let's make it unforgettable. Can't wait to see you there!"
Since reforming in 2010, Leftfield have released two studio albums: 2015's 'Alternative Light Source' and 2022's 'This Is What We Do'.
Joining the tour will be Australia's godfather of techno and a superhero of soul, Late Nite Tuff Guy adding to what will be an electrifying celebration of hypnotic sound, rhythm and dance-floor energy.
"I'll be on support duties for Leftfield on their upcoming tour. 🙌🏼 This will be huge," Late Nite Tuff Guy says.
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 10 December.
