After a hugely successful third season of Live At The Gardens, which wrapped last weekend, it’s already time to start looking ahead.
World-class music will meet a beautiful outdoor stage, as Live At The Gardens returns in March for its epic fourth season.
Set against a stunning natural Melbourne backdrop, Live At The Gardens is once again set to deliver an unforgettable line-up of live music under the stars. Across two magical weekends, the Royal Botanic Gardens’ Observatory Precinct will transform into a vibrant, open-air venue as a huge mix of Australia’s biggest names and international stars take to the stage.
The opening weekend launches with the soulful sounds of Marlon Williams, echoing through the Gardens as he brings extraordinary artistry to the event. Marlon is known for haunting vocals, magnetic stage presence, and a blend of folk, alt-country and indie-rock. His new te reo Māori album, ‘Te Whare Tīwekaweka’, showcases his poetic storytelling and cinematic soundscapes. Powerhouse Gumbaynggirr soul sensation Emma Donovan and the dynamic Kee’ahn join the line-up.
Then there’ll be a triple treat as Gamilaraay artist Thelma Plum, Sydney band Sons Of The East, and enchanting singer-songwriter Jem Cassar-Daley bring their talent. Thelma, who writes about culture, heritage, love and pain has released two top ten albums and been nominated for 15 ARIAs, while Sons Of The East recently released their second album and have a catalogue of hits that run deep.
Electronic music pioneers Leftfield will take over the Gardens for a night of legendary grooves, seismic bass and immersive, boundary-pushing, high-energy electronic dance music. The group was formed in 1988 and originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, and is now led solely by Barnes for more than 15 years. Acclaimed musician, producer and songwriter Paul Mac (DJ set) and Australia’s Godfather Of Techno, Late Nite Tuff Guy, join the bill for an electrifying musical celebration.
Next up is a hometown dancefloor takeover, with Melbourne’s own Cut Copy bringing their euphoric blend of synth-pop and indie electronica to the Gardens. They’re a GRAMMY-nominated, ARIA Award-winning group who have churned out era-defining hits for more than two decades. Joining them is a stacked line-up of international and local legends – Todd Terje, CC:Disco!, Crazy P (DJ set) and Colette.
Aussie hip hop heavyweights Bliss N Eso will bring Live At The Gardens to a dynamic close. They’ve got five ARIA #1 albums, two ARIA Awards, and more than half a billion streams, carving out a legacy in Australian music. Multiple ARIA Award-winning artist Drapht, and hip hop duo Horrorshow, join the fun.
