British multi-genre artist Kojey Radical has added headline shows to his debut visit to Australia.
Already headed to Gold Coast's Promiseland Festival, the Brit Awards, Mercury Music Prize and Ivor Novello nominee will also play shows in Sydney and Melbourne.The hip hop, grime, spoken word artist (who also incorporates aspects of jazz and funk into his music) last year released his debut album, 'Reason To Smile', which he describes as a "space and bass" sound – it features collabs with Knucks, Lex Amor, Kelis, Masego and Tiana Major9.
"I've always seen myself as a servant of creativity," Kojey said last year, ahead of the release of 'Reason To Smile'. "I'm only here to contribute. Outside of that it's not about me."
With work progressing on Kojey's second studio record, this year he's appeared on joints with Emmeline ('Dust'), SHY FX ('Good Morning'), SOLOMON ('Phases') and Mahalia ('Wassup').
Tickets on sale from 12pm (local time) on 16 August.
