R&B, soul English-Nigerian artist Jacob Banks has extended his Australian visit.
Already slated to play the Sunday instalment of Sapphire Coast music event Wanderer Festival, the 'Chainsmoking', 'Unknown (To You)' and 'Unholy War' hitmaker has added headline concerts in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this October.Already commanding stages at Coachella and Lollapalooza plus sold-out headline shows across Europe and North America, Banks has also had breakout performances on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' and 'Late Night with Seth Meyers'.
Jacob has collaborated with the likes of Nas ('On My Soul), A$AP Rocky ('Runnin'), Grace Carter ('Blame'), Adekunle Gold ('Ire (Remix)') and LP Giobbi ('Feel').
With his latest project 'Yonder', Banks has begun a bold new chapter. A three-part anthology album, 'Yonder' is a deeply personal journey that honours all of the various and diverse influences that have shaped him as an artist.
Banks describes 'Book I' as a "love letter to Africa", an ode to his Nigerian roots and African soul. 'Book II' fuses his love for modern, electronic production with soul and ballads. The final chapter, 'Book III', represents the stripped-back, more classic soul side of Banks' sound, which he says is "for those of us who feel everything".
