Legends of the punk-rock scene, The Offspring will add to their impressive back catalogue of hits (stretching all the way back to their 1989 debut self-titled record) with the release of their tenth studio album, 'Let The Bad Times Roll', in April.
The Offspring, who were forced to cancel their 2020 Australian tour (it would have been their first trip down under in 16 years) and treated fans to a Christmas song this past December – 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)', have been writing and recording 'Let The Bad Times Roll' the past couple of years. The title track, written in late 2019 and recorded in 2020, reflects the United States ongoing social and political challenges.
"I feel like we're in a unique period in history," the group's singer Dexter Holland says, "where instead of our world leaders saying 'we're doing our best' it's more like they're saying 'f... it' and it's really scary."
For the third time in their career, The Offspring have teamed with legendary producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Motely Crue, Michael Buble) to record 'Let The Bad Times Roll'.
Adds guitarist Noodles: "Folks are saying, 'if it's all going to Hell, we might as well make the most out of it, or at least go out swinging'. Let the bad times roll!"
'Let The Bad Times Roll' is due for release 16 April, 2021.
