The Offspring
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

It must be the 2020 affect, 'cause The Offspring have just released their very first Christmas song – and it's epically amazing. No joke!

The SoCal punk rockers have covered Darlene Love's 1963 original 'Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)', putting their unique stamp on a Holiday classic.

"It just seemed like the world could use a nice holiday song right now," frontman Dexter Holland says.

"We've always been huge fans of Darlene Love, so when the idea came up to do a Christmas song we jumped at the chance to record that one; and tried not to wreck it!"

Additionally, the song will also be pressed on a limited edition, holiday red 7" vinyl with a custom etching on the B-side of the band's iconic logo.

It's been eight years since The Offspring released their last studio album, 2012's 'Days Go By'. The band have a new record in the works; the release has been delayed by the COVID pandemic.
