Holy moly! Harvest Rock have shook things up with their 2025 line-up that hits different, being equal parts nostalgic, contemporary and highlighting emerging talent.
In what will be Australian exclusive performance, icons of angular rock and effortless coolness The Strokes return to Australia for the first time since 2022 – read our review of their 2022 Sydney concert. While The War On Drugs will also make Harvest Rocks their only Australian appearance in 2025, after touring here in late 2023 – read our review of their Brisbane concert.
American country-hip hop singer-rapper, Jelly Roll will make his Australian live debut this spring. With a headline tour already announced, the 'Need A Favour', 'Son Of A Sinner' and 'Liar' hitmaker will also travel to Adelaide for Harvest Rock. "AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! Nashville is on the way baby!"
The two-day music festival, which returns to Adelaide 25-26 October having taken 2024 off as a fallow year, offers Adelaidians and interstate visitors 'a weekend of indulgence across music, food and drinks' with two main stages as well as a third stage hosting comedic and culinary stars.
With The Strokes and The War On Drugs headlining the Saturday bill, they'll be joined by 'Riptide' icon Vance Joy (who return to Australia fresh from two-month North American tour), and British rapper M.I.A. the 'Paper Planes' artist recently releasing two singles: 'Safe' and 'Armour'.
The rest of Saturday will feature Lime Cordiale, Wolfmother (performing their debut album), The Presets, Skream & Benga, Genesis Owusu, The Jungle Giants, Cloud Control (15-ear anniversary), Vacations and Bag Raiders (live).
Already slated to return home this spring having owned Glastonbury and Lollapalooza, 'Oysters In My Pocket' and 'Sofa King' hitmakers Royel Otis will add Harvest Rock's Sunday line-up to their itinerary, joining fellow Sunday attendees Ministry of Sound Classical, who'll cure the the Sunday Scaries with some of the greatest moments in dance music reimagined as a live orchestral experience.
Honorary Aussies, Groove Armada will make a special DJ appearance alongside six-time Grammy Awards-nominated singer-songwriter Shaboozey (carving a lane in the alternative country and hip hop space), Aussie electronic OGs PNAU, 'Fingers Crossed' and 'Flowers' hitmaker Lauren Spencer Smith (who recently released a new album, 'The Art Of Being A Mess'), Aussie pop star Ruel, 'UFO' and 'Pictures' dance-floor makers Sneaky Sound System and Aussie folk duo The Dreggs.
The Amuse-Bouche Stage will be a gathering place for culinary stars, podcasters and comedians to showcase talks and ideas. Hosted by breakfast radio presenters Ben Harvey and Belle Jackson, expect appearances from Nat's What I Reckon, the Marmalade trio, surprise artists from the music line-up and much more.
Away from the music stages, a spread of bespoke food and lifestyle activations will be on the menu all weekend, including bespoke pop-up cellar doors and buzzing bars, a curated by-the-bottle wine bar area, and elevated food experiences by local chefs and restaurants.
"The third edition of Harvest Rock delivers another impressive line-up that will bring music lovers from all around to Adelaide this October," SA Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison says.
"In past years we have seen around 30 per cent of ticket holders come from out of state, and the mix of significant international artists like The Strokes, as well as beloved Australian music legends like Wolfmother will again bring the crowds.
"Now is the time to start booking to make the most of our wineries, renowned restaurants and nature experiences in our tourism regions to bookend your Harvest Rock Festival weekend in South Australia."
