Gympie Music Muster Add Nashville Hitmaker Aussie Expat Morgan Evans To 2023 Line-up

Morgan Evans joins Gympie Music Muster's 2023 line-up.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Gympie Music Muster have levelled up, adding chart-topping Aussie expat Morgan Evans to their 2023 line-up.

The 'Kiss Somebody' and 'Day Drunk' country singer-songwriter will join a bill that already features USA act Midland alongside Aussie country icons Troy Cassar-Daley, Adam Brand and Kasey Chambers.

Evans is no stranger to the four-day music festival (which will be staged in Amamoor State Forest 24-27 August), having previousing played the Muster in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015. "The excitement has been palpable among the Muster team with this announcement," Muster CEO Greg Cavanagh says.

"Morgan is someone we've been wanting to get to the Muster because we know it's a festival that means a lot to him, and he means a lot to our Muster mates.

"This inclusion almost rounds out our entertainment offerings at the Muster this year and demonstrates how our programme offers something for lovers of all types of country, rock and blues and plenty of genres in between.

"We cannot wait for our event in August."

Evans, who has toured with the likes of Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Dan + Shay, Cole Swindell, and Brett Eldredge, recently released his new EP 'Life Upside Down' that features his current hit 'Over For You'.

"It's a collection of songs that could only have come from this time in my life," Morgan shares about 'Life Upside Down'.

"After the heaviness of 'Over For You' and 'On My Own Again', the two new tunes, 'Hey Little Mama' and 'All Right Here', are quite possibly the two most joyful sounding records I've ever made.

"They're about finding light in the dark and finding gratitude in the little things, which as we all know are actually the big things."

2023 Gympie Music Muster takes place Amamoor State Forest (QLD) 24-27 August.
