Mushroom Group are saddened to announce their decision to discontinue Future Music Festival in 2016.
Despite the considerable critical acclaim of the 2015 festival, the last two years of ticket sales for the festival have underperformed, meaning Future Music Festival will not be returning next year - much to the heavy hearts of fans around the country.

Co-founder of Future Music, Jason Ayoubi, relased a statement via social media:
It saddens me to share the news with you that I will no longer be a part of Future Music Group after today.
I started the company in 1997 with a small team who were as passionate about music and putting Australia on the festival map as I was. Throughout the years, the team has grown and we’ve created hundreds of incredible music events for millions of people across the country. As a result, the Future Music and Summadayze Festival brands have cemented themselves as some of the largest, most critically acclaimed festivals in the world. Festivals that were as loved by the artists and staff as the attendees themselves.
From the bottom of my heart I’d like to thank everyone I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside throughout the Future journey. Special thanks to all the Future team, suppliers, artists, sponsors and the thousands of fans who came back year after year to support our hard work.
I leave behind a talented team of employees and friends who I couldn’t be more proud of. No doubt whatever the future holds for each and every one of you will be bright. Thank you all for your support, hard work and laughter.
What we have accomplished over the past years is nothing short of amazing, and I look forward to the successes ahead both for the Mushroom Group and myself personally. This is definitely not a goodbye, but a see you soon and the starting line of a new era.
Effective immediately, leadership of the company lies in the capable hands of Mushroom management. Please join me in congratulating the new leadership and celebrating all we have accomplished so far.
