Legendary group, Dinosaur Jr. return to Australia this summer to pay tribute to their 1993 album 'Where You Been'.
The alternative rock pioneers will perform their seminal album (which features the hit 'Start Choppin'' as well as 'Out There' and 'Get Me') in full with headline gigs in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth as well as headlining (alongside Mogwai) Tent Pole: A Musical Jamboree in Geelong next February.Fans can also expect a set of Dinosaur Jr. classics from their 14 album discography hopefully featuring such cuts as 'Feel The Pain', 'Just Like Heaven', 'Freak Scene', 'The Wagon', 'Little Fury Things' and 'Almost Ready'.
2023 has seen J Mascis (guitar, vocals, primary songwriter), Lou Barlow (bass, vocals), and Murph (drums) globetrotting with sold-out shows across the United States, festival appearances at Spain's Primavera Weekender, Germany's Rolling Stone Beach and Mempho Music Hall in Memphis. They also have five sold-out headline shows upcoming at The Garage in London.
Dinosaur Jr.'s most recent studio album was 2021's 'Sweep It Into Space'; they also released a live album in 2021, 'Emptiness At The Sinclair' that was recorded at the Sinclair in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
