After releasing a line-up any Americana, roots, alt. country fan would salivate over in late May, Hunter Valley festival Dashville Skyline have gone and upped the ante with another round of talented artists joining the three-day celebration of classic songwriting.
The new arrivals are headlined by dirty rockers Melbourne's The Murlocs, folk singer-songwriter and Pitjantjatjara man Frank Yamma, and alt. country band Lachlan Byran & The Wildes (who recently released their new single, 'Quit While We're Ahead')."It's such a thrill to be amongst this line-up of friends and favourites. Think positive and buy your tickets folks. It will be a beautiful weekend," Lachlan Byran & The Wildes says.
Dashville Skyline is a celebration of alternative country, its birth in America during the '60s-'70s, the culture that surrounds the music, and the evolution that continues to inspire modern-day songwriters.
Tasmanian soulful folk singer Claire Anne Taylor, Blue Mountain country duo Eagle and the Wolf, indie roots singer-songwriter Georgia State Line, festival favourites Ben Leece & Left Of The Dial, and Indigenous multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Sue Ray have also being added to the bill.
"I'm heading back to the beautiful Hunter Valley to play Dashville Skyline!" beams Claire Anne Taylor, "can't bloody wait to get back amongst all the good folks at Dashville. What a rad bunch and what an epic line-up! Yeehaa!"
Adds Eagle and the Wolf: "So happy to announce that we'll be playing at Dashville Skyline this October! And what a line-up! One of the best festivals in the most beautiful spot. We are counting the days."
Set to take place the Labour Day long weekend (1-3 October) if the NSW lockdown has lifted, Dashville Skyline's first line-up announce was highlighted by The Black Sorrows, William Crighton, Liz Stringer, Jeff Lang, Slim Dusty's Travellin' Country Band, Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys and Icecream Hands.
"We look forward to coming together, celebrating the musical greatness in this world," the festival says.
