Brisbane's newest outdoor live concert series in the heart of the city, On The Banks has levelled up with a second round of artist additions.
After welcoming the likes of De La Soul, The Streets, Bernard Fanning, Peach PRC and Marlon Williams to QPAC's Cultural Forecourt in South Bank next March last month, the riverside series has whet the city's appetite for live music further with King Stingray, MARINA (with special guest Mallrat), Grace Jones and Sarah Blasko joining the inaugural line-up.
The 2021 Unearthed Artist Of The Year winners King Stingray, who would go on to collect the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award at the ARIA Awards latter in 2022 as well as winning the Australian Music Prize, will kick off On The Banks late February.
Now fully-fledged stars, King Stingray's arsenal includes such belters as 'Milkuman', 'Get Me Out', 'Let's Go', 'Camp Dog' and 'Hey Wanhaka', with the band having released two studio albums, the most recent being 2024's 'For The Dreams'.
Iconic Welsh singer-songwriter, producer and poet MARINA will hit Australian shores for the first time in 15 years. MARINA will bring her Princess Of Power tour to Brisbane, celebrating her sixth studio album of the same name.
She burst on to the scene in 2009, developing a devoted global fanbase across five huge albums. Her discography includes 'The Family Jewels', 'Electra Heart' (which debuted at #1 on the UK's Official Charts and featured modern anthems like 'Primadonna' and 'Bubblegum Bitch'), the Euro-pop-inspired 'Froot', 'Love + Fear', and 'Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land', and nowher sixth effort, 'Princess Of Power'.
"Australia, can you believe it?! For the first time in 15 years we'll meet again. I'm so incredibly excited to come see you all," MARINA posted.
Grace Jones does not simply return; she arrives. The cultural titan and style icon arrives in Australia in March to deliver a four-state spectacle including Brisbane.
The boundary-breaker and cultural disruptor is known for commanding vocals, avant-garde costume design and theatrical mastery. Jones' shows remain unmatched in their power, artistry, and scale.
Her hits, such as 'Pull Up To The Bumper', 'Slave To The Rhythm', and 'Walking In The Rain', have inspired generations of musicians and visual artists alike.
Set to join Marlon Williams, Sarah Blasko is one of Australia's most revered singer-songwriters of the last 20 years as a four-time platinum selling, three-time ARIA Award-winning musician-producer.
Blasko's career now spans seven solo albums, two albums with Holly Throsby and Sally Seltmann as Seeker Lover Keeper, music compositions for two Bell Shakespeare productions and the likes of Sir Elton John counted amongst her fans.
Sarah continues to be as expansive as she is prolific, writing songs that strike with rare immediacy, clarity and purpose.
A partnership between QPAC and South Bank Corporation, On The Banks will transform the Cultural Forecourt into a vibrant outdoor music destination across February and March 2026.
With the river and city skyline as its backdrop, and warm Brisbane summer nights filled with food, bars and friends, On The Banks' line-up just keeps getting bigger and better.
On The Banks takes place at South Bank Cultural Forecourt (Brisbane) between 25 February and 22 March, 2026.
