On The Banks is a brand-new, outdoor live concert series in the heart of Brisbane, set to bring a stellar line-up of local and international performers to South Bank's Cultural Forecourt in 2026.

On The Banks will transform the riverside green space, into a vibrant live music venue with bars and catering along the Brisbane River and against the city skyline.

The event’s first line-up features a diverse list of Australian and international headliners and supporting artists, bringing a blend of alternative, pop, garage, R&B and hip hop.

First up, Droppin’ Science is a night dedicated to hip hop in all forms. Hip hop icons De La Soul will bring their timeless grooves, with Oddisee & Good Company and Miss Kaninna. De La Soul deliver feel-good energy and unmatched stage presence, while rapper/producer Amir Mohamed aka Oddisee and backing band bring lyrical commentary on sociopolitical issues. Proud Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali woman Miss Kaninna will bring her hip hop, neo-soul and R&B sounds.

From the UK comes Mike Skinner AKA The Streets, performing ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ in full for the first time ever. Plus, feel-good phenomenon Disco Club will light it up for International Women’s Day weekend, created by Lise Carlaw and Sarah Wills.

Celebrated singer-songwriter Bernard Fanning will hit In The Banks for a Brisbane ‘Final Encore’ performance of his ’Tea & Sympathy’ 20th anniversary tour. . . And he’s assembled an outstanding Australian line-up including Kasey Chambers, The Paper Kites, Troy and Jem Cassar-Daley and Georgia Mooney to join him.

Australian pop sensation Peach PRC, celebrated for emotionally rich and vulnerable – yet honest – songwriting, will bring her signature glitter-pop energy, magnetic personality and irreverent humour to the riverfront.

Next up is Blockbuster, a colourful blend of Punjabi music, food, and cultural flair making its Queensland debut. The programme will bring artists hailing from Northern India and Pakistan, and a fusion of traditional Qawwali folk, with Punjabi beats and Pakistani pop music.

The inimitable Marlon Williams will fly in from Aotearoa, bringing velvet vocals and cinematic ballads to On The Banks, performing his new album ‘Te Whare Tīwekaweka’, entirely in Te reo Māori (Māori language), alongside songs from his acclaimed catalogue.

‘Williams continues to prove adept at pivoting between modes of expression, but also at stitching them together’. . . Read our review of Marlon at Melbourne’s RISING earlier this year.

On The Banks is sure to capture the essence of a Queensland summer – with warm evenings, world-class performances, and a sense of community.

Tickets on sale 14 November.
