Bright Eyes 2023 Australia Tour

Bright Eyes tour Australia October-November 2023.
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Some 12 years since they last toured Australia, Bright Eyes return for live shows this spring.

Already revealed on the Harvest Rock line-up in Adelaide, the Conor Oberst-led band will headline concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Hobart this October-November.

The Melbourne show is part of The Eighty Six Festival programme and sees Bright Eyes team with Warpaint for a double bill.

Joined by Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott, the Omaha-based band were inactive from 2012-2019 before reconnecting in 2020, releasing their tenth studio album 'Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was' that same year.

This run of shows will feature material from that release as well as Bright Eyes' diverse catalogue that stretches back to 1998 when they released their debut album: 'A Collection of Songs Written And Recorded 1995–1997'.

The band's sixth album, 'I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning' spawned the group's most streamed material including 'First Day Of My Life', 'Lua' and 'At The Bottom Of Everything'.

"It's a blast to finally be able to present the great Bright Eyes here in all their colourful glory," Love Police's BT says.

"Conor and I have had a history over many years, but are yet to present the goodness of he and his pal's excellent catalogue of life-shaping music to music lovers down here. Strap in for the night of your musical lives' friends."

Lovers of intimate music moments, ready yourselves for an evening of entrancing music presented by three friends traversing the tones of fuzzy folk, electrified rock, and country twang.

Tickets on sale from 9am EST on 21 August. Tickets to Harvest Rock are on sale.
