Try to contain your shock — Justin Bieber is free on bail after spending less than 24 hours in a Miami jail.
The judge set Bieber's bond at $2,500, not exactly an insurmountable obstacle for the inexplicably popular 19-year-old.
He was escorted out of the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami, Florida, to an awaiting vehicle. He gave a brief smile and a wave to the large crowd of Beliebers outside the facility, many of whom are probably tweeting angry messages to the Miami-Dade County Department of Corrections right now.
In case you haven't interacted with any other humans today, Bieber was busted for driving under the influence, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an invalid driver's licence.
Bieber was drag racing in a Lamborghini at the time of the arrest and reportedly admitted to officers that he'd been drinking alcohol, using marijuana and taking prescription drugs, but he was still perplexed as to why he'd been pulled over. "What the fuck did I do? Why did you stop me?" Bieber asked.
To commemorate this special occasion, here's a portrait of Bieber's mugshot drawn by legendary cartoonist Kyle Baker.

Why not, right?
