Six South Australian bands/ artists will have the opportunity to showcase their wares on an international stage alongside the likes of The Killers and Baker Boy with applications now open for Music SA's Bands On Track programme.
Part of the music line-up for the VALO Adelaide 500 (V8 Supercars), which will be held in Adelaide 1-4 December, Bands On Track offers local, emerging acts a platform most indie artists never receive.American rockers The Killers will headline the Sunday after-race concert, while Lime Cordiale, The Presets, Baker Boy and Teenage Joans get the party started on Friday night.
The Saturday evening line-up features an all-Aussie classic pub rock smorgasbord: Jimmy Barnes, Icehouse and Noiseworks.
Previous participants of Bands On Track include Horror My Friend, Bad//Dreems, Seabass, Kitchen Witch, Young Offenders, Ollie English, and The Montreals.
The independent selection panel who'll decide who gets to perform features local industry representatives Courtney Duka, Sam Lavers and Sianne van Abkoude.
Submissions close 25 September at 5pm CST.
