2021 Bluesfest Adds More Aussie Talent: Pete Murray, Mark Seymour & Kate Ceberano

Pete Murray
Our eclectic team of writers from around Australia – and a couple beyond – with decades of combined experience and interest in all fields.

Four weeks out (exactly) from the 2021 edition of Bluesfest, and the annual Byron Bay music festival have delivered some earlier Easter treats with a host of new additions.

Set to make history when it takes place at Byron Events Farm (formerly Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm) 1-5 April, Bluesfest will become the first multi-day, multi-stage camping festival in the world to take place since the beginning of the pandemic.

Joining the 2021 all-Aussie action performing on Easter Monday will be troubadour Pete Murray (currently working on his next studio album), Mark Seymour And The Undertow (who released their fourth album 'Slow Dawn' last year) and soul, jazz, and pop singer Kate Ceberano (who has just released her 18th studio album 'Sweet Inspiration').

"We can't wait to be presenting Bluesfest in four weeks. Pinch me, my dream is coming true to see festivals occurring again in Australia," Festival Director, Peter Noble OAM says.

"With the addition of nine more sensational Australian artists to our already magnificent line-up, I am convinced this will be one of the great Bluesfests.

"Pete Murray, Mark Seymour And The Undertow and Kate Ceberano join our headline line-up to play on the final day of Bluesfest – and this will make Easter Monday a special day to be at Bluesfest. In fact, Easter Monday is shaping up now to be one of the highlight days of the Easter weekend."

With the event 85 per cent sold out, the other acts added to the bill include Fiona Boyes & The Fortune Tellers, Lambros., The Regime, Round Mountain Girls, Electrik Lemonade and Palm Valley.

Bluesfest 2021 takes place at Byron Events Farm (Byron Bay) 1-5 April.
