Food and wine lovers of the south-east coast are preparing their taste buds for the most colourful food and wine event of the year – the 2015 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.
Combining florals with food, this year’s event celebrates with more than 50 events celebrating colour, flavours and music. Ten days of local produce, exquisite wines, craft brews and mouth-watering food adventures will have local foodies taking over this celebrated carnival in Toowoomba.
The Ergon Energy Flower Food And Wine Festival combines food with florals, brews with blooms and shines the light on the paddock to plate movement (the stunning range of produce that is sourced from the region).
Bites & Brews lane will be packed with food trucks taking over Ruthven Street as well as the magical Gala Dinner returning for a second year, featuring the best Southern Queensland Country produce from our region.
The Talking Pubs Tour is also a must for anyone who loves a perfectly poured beer and a great back-story. Other events for food lovers abound, from Devonshire teas at theTeapot Extravaganza to the gourmet treats at the Apthorpe Farm Market Place.
“Ensuring the festival has plenty of star appeal, this year is Fast ED Halmagyi, cooking presenter on the much loved Better Homes & Gardens and Monica Topliss, Australia’s leading gluten-free, whole food chef. Both will star on stage in the Farm To Plate Space with cooking demonstrations across the weekend,” TRC Tourism and Events spokesman, Cr Geoff McDonald says.
The Toowoomba Carnival Of Flowers will be held throughout Toowoomba, 18-27 September.
