Get your spoons ready Brisbane because this weekend marks the return of Kettle & Tin’s third annual, Chili Cook Off!
Venues from around Brisbane will battle it out for the coveted title of chili master this Sunday, 29 March, from 10am. 2014 saw over 700 people in Kettle & Tin’s Paddington backyard, and this year will see even more participants with ten venues going head to head for the title of chili master including:

Statler & Waldorf (Caxton St)

Alkaline Warriors
Two of the contenders – Super Whatnot and Statler & Waldorf – agreed to meet pre-chili cook off to water-down any simmering tempers.

Kettle & Tin are also pleased to welcome back, high-profile chef Philip Johnson (e’cco bistro) and Kettle & Tin chef Frazer Henderson as judges who will partake in a blind tasting to decide 2015’s chili master.
$10 entry gets chili lovers a beer on arrival from either: Burleigh Brewing Co., Batlow, Rocks Brewing or Stone & Wood, a taste of all chilis on offer, and a vote for the chili they loved the most.
Venues will be doubling up on chili this year as the chili stocks ran out for all venues – double the chilli, double the fun! There'll also be a live performance by Woodnut's Lament.

Kicking off KT's Brewsvegas celebrations on Saturday 28 March is the event ‘MS Chili Fundraiser’ benefitting MS Queensland (The Big Dinner Party initiative). From 11am, join the K&T crew for a live, art installation by local Brisbane artists Asa Boardman and Andy Harwood and Argentinian artist Alex Lange.
Guests will enjoy a selection of local craft beers from Newstead Brewing, Green Beacon, Burleigh Brewing and Brewhouse and tantalise their taste buds with a chili-inspired menu designed by Kettle & Tin chefs Matty McMurdy and Frazer Henderson including: chilli dogs with jack cheese and caramelised onions, pulled pork nachos with jalapeno, cheese sauce and sweet tomato salsa or watermelon with minted mojito sugar.
