Move over cupcakes, there's a new sweet treat in town!
Catering to macaron lovers around Australia since 2011, the team at Marché Du Macaron celebrated the grand opening of their first store last night. On a busy street in Gordon Park, sweet tooths crowded inside the glamorously decorated old Queenslander to take a peak at cupcakes' whimsical and stylish cousin – the Macaron (with a capital M for marvellous!).
Handmade and completely gluten free, the fresh and fluffy cute-as-a-button puffs of joy are made on premises by owner and baker, Trish. Employing her family to help out for the night, invitees were able to cut their own artisan treat down from a tree and enjoy the delight that Trish has been creating for years.
Enjoyed as dessert, as a naughty date night treat, or just because they're divine, Trish and her team also cater to weddings, christening, birthdays and corporate events with luxe macaron cake creations.
With requests for deliveries coming from as far as Holland, the next sugary question on their lips is how to handle the flood of love for their confectionery greatness! Marché Du Macaron is also dog-friendly, so stop by on your morning walk with pup to grab yourself a coffee (coming soon) and luscious treat to kick start your day.
Marché Du Macaron is open now at 27 Thistle St, Gordon Park.
