For the first time ever, the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) will not be held in America in 2013, but will be coming to Melbourne, Australia.
The announcement came on Monday October 22, with Victorian Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business, Louise Asher, and Penny Arcade President, Robert Khoo, revealing the exciting news.
“Attracting PAX Australia to Melbourne was a major coup for Victoria...It is a great opportunity to showcase games culture in Australia to the rest of the world,” Ms. Asher enthused.
Lovers of gaming, from console or tabletop, have been convening on the PAX Expo since 2004, and it continues to attract ever-growing numbers, giving fans a chance to meet with the world's leading game publishers.
PAX Australia will not only feature international presentations, but will also include content from local community events.
The expo will be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from July 19 – 21 2013. More information can be found here.
