Have you ever wondered what Princess Zelda does while she waits for Link to save Hyrule?
(If the words 'Zelda', 'Link' and 'Hyrule' mean nothing to you, this probably isn't the story for you. Sorry.)
If you've ever played 'A Link To The Past' and wondered what, exactly, Zelda was doing by herself in the Sanctuary while Link went out and saved the day, Stacey Mason has an answer for you. Mason's forthcoming 'Adventures Of Zelda' fills in the story of how Princess Zelda spends her time between rescues.
A re-imagining' of 'A Link To The Past', Mason — a writer, critic, and researcher of interactive narrative — bills 'Adventures Of Zelda' as more of an "interactive art experience" than a traditional Zelda game. The goal of the project is to examine "the role of women in games and the game industry through its protagonist's unfulfilled desires".
