Aaron Draplin, one of the world's leading graphic designers and personalities, is coming to Australia.
With his work featured heavily in the Vans Off The Wall series, Aaron’s use of colour, stroke and technique enable him to work on some of the world's most prestigious communication campaigns for brands as large as Nike down to small American bands as part of his “passion projects”.
For the first time ever, Aaron will visit Australia in late July at JMC Academy as part of their master series workshops, which have previously hosted engineer Dave Aron (LA: Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur) and the world's leading vocal coach Robert 'RAab' Stevenson (Rihanna, Pharrell Williams).
Aaron’s ability to take retro content and modernise it, along with being able to just about carve a logo out of nothing but white space has meant over time he has become the guru of design, working out of his Portland, Oregon facility.
Aaron will be talking to attendees about the role of the graphic designer in contemporary times, projects and places, how design can influence, how to start your career, what mistakes not to make and which ones to make, how to go about dealing with clients and more, including unique content which has seen him rated as one of the 'must see' TED talkers worldwide.
