I’m a Bartender at Soleil Pool Bar located in the cultural precinct of South Bank in Brisbane, QLD.
Why do you do it?
I do because I love it, and I particularly enjoy learning anything relating to cocktails; the history of the cocktail, unique products and how they’re used in different drinks, as well as different techniques of preparing drinks. I like bartending and making cocktails because it combines both physical and mental skill sets.

'The Simpsons'.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I would go back to last Friday night to stop myself from drinking too much while in the beloved Fortitude Valley.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us?
I would make a classic Japanese chicken curry. It gives the illusion that it’s hard to make but it’s actually easy and a very substantial and delicious meal.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
I started a new life in Perth 5 years ago in what was one of the biggest life lessons for me. I moved there not knowing anyone and I learnt to totally rely on myself and take full responsibility for myself.

Are you happy with your work/life balance?
For me, my job is part of my life and I am lucky that I love my job, and it is more to me than just that. I’m not too wild on my days off but I do enjoy keeping myself fit, and catching up with friends when I feel like it.
