I am the publicist for The Gov, co-manager of Poke In The Eye Records and Elastico Promotions Agency, live music policy navigator for Music SA and an artist manager.
Why do you do it?
Because the cultural propensity of Adelaide is to look towards the mass market, whereas I believe in the independent ideas produced in this city.
What do you love about the city you live in?
The food, the wine, the bike trails, the beaches, the beer, the Adelaide Hills, the music and the wonderful friends I have here. Yep, I'm definitely middle aged.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
Over to Melbourne, which reminded me why I enjoy living in Adelaide.
What's your favourite item of clothing?
I like to wear brightly coloured jeans. I really like colours.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
'Pokemon'. Man, that show made me go out and buy so much shit.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
It's not so much a 'where' – I would love to be able to go back in time to have a conversation with my Grandpa. He was an incredible man and I was quite young when he died. It would be pretty emotional to talk to him again.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Slow-roasted pulled pork and Boston beans.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Resilience.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
Music writer Will Oakeshott is the best kiss I have ever had.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
Totes. Not.
How do you define success?
I prefer to know the feeling of doing a good job than be told I'm doing one.
What's your spirit animal?
