Festival Director for Blues on Broadbeach and the Broadbeach CMF.
Why do you do it?
I have been involved in performance and events since I was a kid, so it's a natural.
What do you love about the city you live in?
It lets me shut down the streets and build stages on them.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
A quick stop in Vancouver. It's a great city.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
Denim jeans. It's what rock & roll was built on.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
'The Wonder Years'. I related to Kevin Arnold a lot and the soundtrack was killer.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I'd head to 1939 New York. I'd check out the World Fair, go see a Giants game and pick up a handful of Batman comics.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Depending on the season I have two guest dinners: a winter-baked lasagne or a summer-beer BBQ.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Good manners will open doors that the best education cannot.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
I worked a Backstreet Boys tour for a couple of days in eastern Europe.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
This is something I am learning to achieve and having a young daughter has been instrumental in the teaching.
How do you define success?
A happy family, stamps in a passport, a good reputation, friends to call on, respect from people you deal with and a good collection of records and comics.
What's your spirit animal?
Not sure. Is there one that sleeps with one eye open? (Googles). Ok, a mallard duck.
