Marketing at Ironlak.
Why do you do it?
Because I solidly believe in what we’re building. I’d rather be a part of creating something incredible, feel the momentum and reap the rewards than join an established company.
What do you love about the city you live in?
Brisbane: It’s a great base, modest and full of amazing people doing cool shit.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
Japan. My brother and I rode our bikes from Tokyo to Osaka.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
I can’t say no to a faded, black t-shirt, the more faded the better. My wardrobe contains the full spectrum of faded black.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
I’d have to say 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'. I’d wrap orange fabric around my eyes at any chance to be Michelangelo!
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I mean I’d be tempted by Ancient Egypt, Machu Pichu etc. But I’m going to say Brisbane 1900, I’d love to walk the streets as I do now and see it as it was, not to mention seeing all of the creeks and the river in a pristine condition.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
I’m not a great chef, probably a big, dirty spag bog.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Stick to what you love doing, don’t change with what’s cool. Times will change and if you persist long enough people will start to like what you do.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
I used to be very serious about keeping these separate; unfortunately as time has passed, they’ve blended.
How do you define success?
Happiness. If you’re happy, nothing else matters.
What's your spirit animal?
A stray cat. Endearing, inquisitive, surviving.
