I am a skateboarder and graphic designer based in Brisbane. About a year ago I started Stale Brand, which is a clothing line all about skateboarding, friends and good times.
Why do you do it?
I love to challenge myself. I started Stale Brand as an outlet for what I do as a graphic designer. All of my friends have gotten behind the project and have made it something really rad, a 'by the homies, for the homies' type brand that is all about skateboarding, threads, vibes and good times. There are some exciting collaborations with Sh!t Magazine and other designers/artists in the works so keep your eyes peeled!
What do you love about the city you live in?
The sights, the rad people I've met here and the fact there is so much to do in Brisbane, whether it be the night life, checking out GOMA at Southbank or scoping out the West End markets.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
The last holiday I went on was Stale Brand down south. It was a long weekend road trip down to Ballina with a hand full of my good pals. We had a rad time camping and skating over the long weekend. We stopped at Brunswick, Bangalow, Byron Bay, Lennox Heads and Ballina parks. We Blogged the whole trip and all of the good times had. It was definitely one of the best holidays I've been on.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
Probably a fresh pair of socks. No one likes holes! I am also pretty stoked with how the newest Stale Brand tee 'SNAKE EYES' turned out. My good pal Bryce Anderson threw some ideas at me in the early stages, from there a lot of work was put in and the design evolved. I'm stoked with the result! What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
The Simpsons for sure, still love it!
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
Probably one of the grom days skating with my pals. They were the best.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Mexican! Burritos, Nachos, Taco's.. you choose!
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Treat others how you would like to be treated. If everyone did this the world would be a much better place.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
Yeah, I would love more free time to go skateboarding and hang with pals but I think everyone wants that, haha.
How do you define success?
Doing what you love doing.
What's your spirit animal?
Probably a turtle? haha!
