Why do you do it?
I actually fell into the job almost 11 years ago based on admin skills, have learnt so much and become very passionate about it ever since. I’ve seen some incredible works come and go through the gallery and met so many interesting artists and collectors.
What do you love about the city you live in?
LOTS — mostly my fabulous friends. There are so many great new restaurants and bars opening around the place. I adore having such a happening culture right at my doorstep with live music every night of the week.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
Sydney, to visit my besties in Rose Bay.
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
Right now it’s one of the many pairs of black milk tights I scored in the sale. Thanks, BM! They are heaps comfy and go with my hundreds of oversized tops and pairs of boots.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
Embarrassingly enough it was Home & Away. Until I got a six month ban for apparently acting too much like the characters – solid parenting! Thank goodness I got over it.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
Just today I gave someone four options for dinner at mine this week — she picked marinated pork ribs with roast potatoes and Asian greens. Good choice! Am also all about slow-cooking my way through winter.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
To be excellent to each other — thanks, Bill & Ted.
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
Very. I keep the two separate for the most part, which makes things easy and enjoyable.
How do you define success?
I feel successful in appreciating what I do and being able to maintain an active social life. Am sure there’s a better definition out there – maybe I’ll change it when I have more.
What's your spirit animal?
I just did an online quiz, as I was equally as intrigued to learn this — apparently, I’m a wolf. “Family comes first" could be a Wolf's motto. You form deep connections with close friends and family members, and they know you'd do anything to protect them. You're loyal, devoted, and passionate. Your worst fear is being alone, but be careful not to drown your loved ones in too much emotion… Hmmmmm? I do love my family, I guess.
