I am a music photographer based in Brisbane. I specialise in live music photography — both studio and on location promotional shoots. I am currently about to hold my first photography exhibition, showcasing 23 images of my live music photography.
Why do you do it?
Simple. I love it. I’m passionate about all things photography related and just as passionate about music. So for me, I’m fortunate enough to be able to combine the two.
What do you love about the city you live in?
I like the size of Brisbane. It’s not too big yet not too small either. Traffic isn’t an issue here like in other capital cities. It’s easy to get around. I like the sense of community and the ease at which one can establish networks here. The weather is a big plus too.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
The States. Love America.
What's your favourite item of clothing?
Hmmmm… I’d have to say my black leather jacket. I’ve had it for years. It has served me well. Everyone should have one in their wardrobe. They’re cool. They’re timeless.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
‘Countdown’.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
That’s a tough one. I’m gonna go with Monday August 18, 1969 at 8:30am — Woodstock Festival. I’d loved to have been there for Jimi Hendrix’s set that morning. That man and his band changed the world that day.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us?
BBQ.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
If you put enough effort into anything, you will achieve. You get out of it what you put into it. Never, ever, give up.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows...
I only have nine toes.
Are you happy with your work/ life balance?
I’m working on it.
How do you define success?
Success to me is reaching your full potential. It’s about setting obtainable goals along the way and achieving them, which in turn enables you to reach you’re full potential.
What's your spirit animal?
I’m a black jaguar.
