I founded my own events agency, Coveted Events, earlier this year, specialising in pop up events, fashion events, music gigs and street festivals. Our niche is creating event experiences in unique public spaces. Next event on the radar is Caged, a WA designer runway and tattoo art exhibition at the iconic Fremantle Prison on 22 August.
Why do you do it?
I get an absolute kick out of seeing an initial creative idea transform into a unique event experience that people love. I thrive on new challenges and get to enjoy what I do every single day.
What do you love about the city you live in?
Perth has really stepped up its cultural scene in the last few years and I can't wait to see what's next.
Where did you go for your last holiday?
Japan!! The most amazingly quirky and contemporary place you will ever visit. I was able to experience the traditional side of Japan in Takayama and Kyoto with its abundance of history and tiny glimpse of Geisha. Fast forward to Tokyo and Osaka with its mammoth cityscapes, bright lights, crazy fashion and kitsch advertising. Harajuku was one of my favourite places in Japan and the must-do walk down Takeshita Street spotting cosplay characters was incredible!
What's your favourite item of clothing? Why?
I couldn't live without my favourite pair of fawn ankle boots. They are super versatile and can go from day to night.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid?
It is a tough call between Gumby and Ren & Stimpy.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I would love to head back to New York in the roaring twenties for a night out at The Cotton Club.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook for us?
I don't cook...so that could be a problem. But I do have an extensive bar collection and could mix up an amazing cocktail!
What's the best lesson you've ever learned?
Life is short and we need to do what makes us happy.
How do you define success?
Success is putting in the hard work to be the best you can be.
