On top of releasing new music from our artist roster, I work across publicity and marketing for acts including Tex Crick, Platonic Sex, Twine and The Empty Threats, and design artwork for musicians – some recent clients include Good Morning, Squirrel Flower, Tops and RVG.
I've also just announced a huge tour that's been in the works for some time – Half Strange - From the City to the Outback and Back in collaboration with Harriet Fraser-Barbour (Workhorse) and Heaps Normal. We're putting on shows across the Flinders Ranges, Far West New South Wales and in Melbourne with so many incredible acts billed to play including Ripple Effect Band, Simona Castricum, Workhorse, Emma Russack, Snowy, Scraps, bodies of divine infinite and eternal spirit and more.
Why do you do it? Pure passion!
What do you love about the city you live in? I live in Melbourne and love the parks, the music scene and the people.
Where did you go for your last holiday? I visited my friends in Thailand. It was my first trip overseas post-COVID, and it was the best.
What's your favourite item of clothing? I can't choose – what I wear is very dependent on the weather and my mood, but I'm excited to get some warm weather clothes out for BIGSOUND.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid? I was obsessed with 'Teletubbies' and 'The Powerpuff Girls'.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go? I had a very special time in Thailand. Snorkelling is a favourite pastime, and exploring the reefs of Shark Bay in Koh Tao was pretty surreal.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? I'm so indecisive. I probably wouldn't have a clue until an hour before you arrived.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned? Trust your gut and if you're struggling to, do the opposite of what feels comfortable. ;)
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows... I'm a bit of an over-sharer, so I don't know that I have any big, dark secrets no one knows about!
Are you happy with your work/ life balance? I love what I do (for the most part), but working from home and being involved in so many different projects means it's hard to switch off. I often find myself working 'til the wee hours of the morning and on weekends.
How do you define success? Going to sleep before 11pm.
What's your spirit animal? My dog.
