Why do you do it? I initially wanted to get into music for the same reason as many others – I enjoyed playing music (mostly guitar and drums), but knew I was better equipped to work behind the scenes to help others share their talents with the world.
What do you love about the city you live in? I live in Wollongong on NSW's south coast. I grew up here and have bounced between Wollongong and Sydney for the past few years, but I love the more laidback vibe in Wollongong, our beaches and spending time with my family, so I still refuse to make the full-time move to Sydney.
Where did you go for your last holiday? I went to the FIFA World Cup in Russia in 2018. It was an incredible experience. I'd dreamed of going to a World Cup since I started playing football aged six, and I enjoyed learning Russian history during high school, so it was an awesome amalgamation of some of my interests.
What's your favourite item of clothing? I own two pairs of very comfy Mountain Design trackie dacks that got me through two years of working from home. I pretty much live in them and would be lost without them. I also enjoy fluffy bed socks.
What was your favourite TV show when you were a kid? 'The Simpsons'. Hands down.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go? I'm sure there are many important days in history that would be amazing to experience, but in all honesty the only thing I can think of right now is travelling to Albuquerque to be on set for the final day of shooting 'Breaking Bad'. If I could have one more day it would be the final day of shooting 'Better Call Saul'. I adore both shows and enjoy any behind-the-scenes glimpses I can get.
If we were coming over to your place, what would you cook us? I'm a terrible cook, there are just so many others things I'd rather spend my time doing. The only decent thing I can confidently cook is satay vegetables with rice. If you have a peanut allergy, we'd have to get takeaway.
What's the best lesson you've ever learned? My mum always told me to treat others the way you'd like to be treated.
Tell us one thing about yourself that nobody else knows... I can be a bit of an over-sharer, so there aren't many things about me that nobody knows. For people who have not been acquainted with me, I featured on a number of episodes of 'Backyard Science' as a child.
Are you happy with your work/life balance? Honestly, no. Definitely need to work on dedicating more time to doing things for myself.
How do you define success? I'm not a big fan of the connotations behind the word 'success' in today's society. To me, true success would be finding happiness and contentment in life without feeling bound by society's expectations of success.
What's your spirit animal? A few years ago I was ordained with the nickname Wood Pig due to my Chinese zodiac (and because it sounded funny). According to Wikipedia, pigs are intelligent, strong willed, defiant and require large amounts of food. According to a Chinese zodiac website, they are diligent, compassionate, generous and will devote all their energy to achieving their goals. I think both descriptions encapsulate me fairly well.
